Privacy

The Capital Society Youth uses privacy-conscious aggregate usage analytics to understand how educational resources are used: lessons viewed, recordings played, presentations opened and resources downloaded. We also count public site visits and successful logins.

Private club accounts

Registration collects your name, verified email address, school, grade and chapter. Chapter officers and administrators can view only the membership information they are authorized to manage; organization administrators manage invitations and permissions. Campaign attribution records which registration link you used. Membership and officer status do not automatically publish a profile on our website.

Registration displays a notice that proceeding confirms you are older than 13 years of age. We do not collect a date of birth. No student identity is included in content analytics. Authentication cookies keep you signed in; registration pages do not collect browsing analytics. A successful login may add one anonymous aggregate login event.

Contact your chapter advisor to request a correction or discuss removal of your account information. A Super Admin can permanently delete your account and memberships; club content is retained. Account deletion and guardian-assisted enrollment are not self-service features.

A short browsing session

A random first-party cookie groups activity for up to one hour and helps avoid counting repeated refreshes. It is not a student account or proof of a person’s identity. It expires without being renewed indefinitely. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this analytics feature.

What these analytics contain

Visit events contain only a random session-derived key and timestamp. Login events use a one-way session-derived key to avoid duplicate counts; they contain no user ID or profile information and are not linked to browsing sessions. Content events include the resource, time and a short campaign code when a link contains ref or utm parameters. We do not put names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, birthdays, financial information, full IP addresses, full referring URLs or advertising identifiers into the analytics database. There is no fingerprinting or cross-site advertising tracking. Please do not put personal information into campaign codes.

Who can see usage information

Authorized administrators see aggregate counts within their role and chapter permissions. Only Super Admins see site-wide visit and login totals. Raw browsing sessions are not available in the dashboard. We recommend deleting raw events after 90 days; the project operator must configure and verify that retention process. The one-hour browser cookie lifetime is separate from database retention.

Other services and local features

Hosting and media providers may handle network information to serve requests under their own policies. External recording links open the provider’s website. Optional learning-path checklists stay in your browser and are not sent as analytics. No student account is required to learn, and analytics failures do not prevent access to resources.
